The five most important things you can do today for your healthThe road to good health isn’t always an easy one, but regardless of who you are, there are a few things that you can do to live healthier and feel better. Take a look at the following top five things and see if there isn’t something there that might be of help to you.

1. Quit smoking. It doesn’t matter if you smoke a pack a day or just a few cigarettes over the weekend. Smoking is deadly, and the sooner you quit the better.

2. Floss your teeth. It’s such a simple thing, and for some reason, only a handful of people do it on a regular basis. But believe it or not, flossing your teeth is one of the easiest and fastest way to do something good for yourself. The teeth are a sensitive area, and a lot of peoples physical problems can be traced to problems started in the mouth, due to poor dental hygiene.

3. Stop eating fast food. Does anyone really need to tell you that fast food is not good food? Perhaps so, because whether you admit it or not, fast food is a fast way to put on extra pounds and to feel lousy. Fast foods are bad for you for so many different reasons that there no sense getting into it, so in short, just say no to fast foods!

4. Exercise 30 minutes a day. People consistently site not having the time as the number one reason they don’t exercise, but when it come down to it, thirty minutes of good exercise is all anybody needs and is something that everyone can do. Regardless of how busy they are. Stretch, bend, lift and pull; whatever your pleasure, just get at least thirty minutes each day of good, solid exercise.

5. Drink water. There are a lot of choices when it comes to beverages these days. But the truth is, nothing to date has shown the benefits and consistency as good old plain water. Drink it with meals and alone. The more water you drink and the less soda, coffee, beer, etc… you drink, the better you will feel.

All these things have something in common, they’re fairly simple suggestions. And when you think about it, there are a lot of simple, little things we can do to improve our lives and our health. The trick is really doing it.
