“Move it. Lose it. Live Healthy.”

“Move it. Lose it. Live Healthy.” The rising cost of health insurance is a concern for every business and individual in America. When it comes right down to it, healthy employees are productive employees. But even with health care cost being a big concern, good health and good health habits are almost never discussed as they pertain to the productivity of a company.

“Move it. Lose it. Live Healthy. Achieve a healthier Workplace One Employee at a Time,” The new book by authors Thomas B. Gilliam, Ph.D. and Jane Neill, R.D., L.D. not only discusses the problem, it get right to the heart of the problem with easy to understand explanations and workbook like tables for individuals to use in reaching their health goals.

The book really focuses on two different areas. The first is the necessity of physical activity and the second is the need for good nutrition.

Gilliam and Neill go into great detail about the importance of physical activity. In fact, a good portion of the first half of the book is dedicated to the importance of exercise. In addition, the book also includes many diagrams and pictures to make sure that you not only understand the exercises they focus on, but also so that you’re doing them right.

The second area the book focuses on is good nutrition and eating right. From fast foods to foods for the whole family, authors Gilliam and Neill cover it all so that you can make the right food choices to live healthy and feel great.

The book’s title, “Move it. Lose it. Live Healthy. Achieve a Healthier Workplace One Employee at a Time,” may be a little deceptive because it is about so much more than just how staying healthy benefits the work force. This book is also about families; in fact the book is broken into two sections, the first for adults and the second for families with children.

“Move it. Lose it. Live Healthy. Achieve a healthier Workplace One Employee at a Time,” is a very interesting book, mostly because it tackles both exercise and nutrition in one discussion. Anyone who is interested in living healthy and feeling great has to consider picking up a copy of this book. It’s informative and right up to date with it’s information. Consider picking it up.
