David Keltz returns to re-create Edgar Allan Poe Provided by The Lyceum |
| |
Join The Lyceum, Alexandria’s History Museum, for two unforgettable Halloween evenings with America’s earliest master of the macabre, Edgar Allan Poe!
Actor David Keltz returns to The Lyceum’s lecture hall to re-create Edgar Allan Poe’s visit to Virginia in 1849, shortly before his death. Keltz performs varying selections each year, but the program always includes a chilling story or two such as “The Black Cat,” “The Cask of Amontillado,” or “The Tell-Tale Heart,” along with the well-known poems “The Raven” and “El Dorado.”
This year’s performances will be held on Thursday, October 30, and Friday, October 31, at 8 p.m. The event is open to all; however, due to the nature of some material, the program is best suited for ages 12 and up. Tickets cost $15 and may be purchased online by clicking here or by calling 703.838.4994. Seating is limited, so advance purchase is highly recommended for this popular event.
The Lyceum is located at 201 South Washington Street in Old Town Alexandria.
