Jay-Z To Join Coldplay On Stage Next Year
It's not just the songs of Coldplay and Jay-Z that are being meshed together. The two major artists will soon share a stage for a performance as well. MTV News reports the odd couple will team up for three shows next year when Jay joins Coldplay on their 2009 UK tour. The rock group and rapper have agreed to combine genres before an audience in Manchester on September 9th, in Glasgow on September 16th, and in London on September 19th. The onstage collaboration comes after mixtape pros Mick Boogie and Terry Urban created "Viva La Hova," 19 tracks of Jay's music flowing over Coldplay's hits. While neither Boogie or Urban asked permission to use the artists' music, Jay's assistant says the rapper found the mix "amazing" and Coldplay was also impressed by the work. |
