U2 In Two
U2 fans may be in for a quite diverse record when the band gets around to releasing music next year. The Edge tells "Mojo," quote, "It's a record in two halves," noting half is songs from sessions with producers Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois that, quote, "came virtually fully-formed," and they only needed to run through the tunes once or twice, while the rest is, quote, "material we've kicked around a while and went through the usual cycle of versions and incarnations." The Edge says the material sounds like a U2 album, but is nothing like what they've done before -- or like anything else out there at the moment. |
