Oasis' Noel Gallagher is always quite vocal about the acts he doesn't like. But now the guitarist is putting his stamp on things he loves by creating a compilation for iTunes. The ten-track collection includes cuts by legendary artists like Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, The Doors, and Elvis Presley. There are also songs from Aphrodite's Child, The Pretty Things, The Soundtrack Of Our Lives, Michael Andrews, Marmalade, and Colosseum. Gallagher also comments on some of the tracks.
The next Hoodwink Festival will be a celebration of music past. New Found Glory has been tapped to co-headline the event, but they'll be performing a full set of Green Day covers. The other co-headliner will be Badfish, a Sublime tribute band. The lineup for the May 1st show is expected to consist of acts honoring their favorite musicians by covering their material. Hoodwink leads into the Bamboozle festival the following two days at East Rutherford, New Jersey's Meadowlands Sports Complex. |
