Tim McGraw and Dwight Yoakam are in the number one film at the box office. The holiday movie "Four Christmases," which features the singers in supporting roles, led the pack bringing in 31-point-seven-million-dollars over the weekend. The film, which arrived in theaters last Wednesday, has earned a total of 46-point-seven-million-dollars since it opened.
George Strait and LeAnn Rimes are the latest to contribute to fundraising efforts to restore the Governor's Mansion in Texas. CMT.com says the singers have taped public service announcements encouraging donations to the project. Strait makes his appeal atop a horse at his home near San Antonio, while Rimes filmed her PSA in Frisco, Texas. The Texas governor's mansion in Austin was severely damaged in a fire back in June. Tracy Byrd, Mark Chesnutt, and Clay Walker have previously helped out with raising money to help with the rebuild. |
