Jethro Tull To Donate Mumbai Concert Proceeds To Charity
Jethro Tull is lending a hand in the aftermath of the terrorist attack in Mumbai. The classic rock band, which is currently on tour in India, was scheduled to perform in the city last Saturday. The show was postponed because of the tragedy, and has been rescheduled for Friday. A post on Tull's website also notes that group members will donate their fees from the concert to local charities. The band continued their tour Sunday in New Delhi. According to the Indo-Asian News Service the show drew complaints, but not for the performance. A number of concertgoers said they were upset at lack of security, especially at the door, given what had just happened in Mumbai. Nearly 200 people were killed last week in a three-day terrorist assault in the city. Jethro Tull's next show will be at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore Tuesday night. |
