Amy Winehouse's Husband Blames Himself For Singer's Health Decline
Amy Winehouse's soon-to-be ex-husband admits that he is to blame for the troubled singer's drug habits. Blake Fielder-Civil confessed to Britain's "News of the World" that he dragged Winehouse into the world of heroin, crack cocaine and self harm. He said, quote, "Without me there is no doubt that she would never have gone down that road. I ruined something beautiful." Winehouse has undergone several stints in rehab over the past year. Fielder-Civil is currently in a clinic himself. Reports began circulating last week that the two are contemplating a divorce. Fielder-Civil says he is choosing to leave his wife, not to abandon her, but because he feels it is detrimental to her if she stays with him.
He denies earlier rumors that claim he is having an affair with a German model. Fielder-Civil adds that it is surprising how domestic Amy can be simply cooking and caring for her husband but adds, quote, "because of drugs we can't have a normal life together. That's why I have to let her go." |
