Simon Cowell: Britney Spears Is Star Struck By Me
Britney Spears is in awe of Simon Cowell. That's according to Cowell himself. The "American Idol" judge recently spoke out about Spears' shy demeanor when she performed on his British show "X Factor" over the weekend. According to "People" magazine, Cowell told Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM Radio show that Spears was simply staring at him when they met. He said he told her, quote, "touch me, I'm human" adding that that broke the ice. While believing Spears to be in awe of him, Cowell does admit there was an intense amount of buzz and excitement for the singer when she performed for the audience. He said, quote, "It was as if the president was on the show. I love it. I think if you're going to be a star, be a star."
Cowell also says it would be a delight to have Spears perform on the next season of "Idol," adding that he would have her on the show every week for the next ten years if he could. |
