(International) Noise Conspiracy Embrace The Political Band Label
The members of (International) Noise Conspiracy don't mind if you call them a political band. They actually consider it the highest compliment. However, the group acknowledges that politics can be a double edged sword in music. Singer Dennis Lyxzen says he knows being political can alienate some fans, but he feels it's a risk the band should take.
Lyxzen says there's a difference between politics for a musician and a true politician because politicians are more guarded in how they present themselves, whereas artists are viewed as political for saying exactly what they want to say. (International) Noise Conspiracy is currently presenting their thoughts on the new album "The Cross Of My Calling," which hit stores last week. |
