Ulrich Discusses Drug And Drink
Metallica's Lars Ulrich says his hard partying days may be over, but there are some things he misses about those times. Ulrich tells "Blender" magazine that while he no longer uses cocaine, he misses the bonding that comes with taking the drug with others. The drummer says, quote, "Two guys in a bathroom stall -- it feels like the most important place in the whole world at the moment. I've actually gone into bathroom stalls with friends since I quit, just so I still have a little bit of that bonding." Ulrich says that he's never been a major drinker, preferring mostly just to imbibe during social occasions. The drummer says he could never match singer James Hetfield, and at 138 pounds, five beers would make him fall over. Ulrich adds that he was never one to wake and reach for a bottle, noting he always preferred to at least eat breakfast first. |
