Brian Wilson To Launch New Grammy Museum Program
Brian Wilson will be opening up to the public about his music. The notoriously reclusive ex-Beach Boy has been tapped as the first subject for the new Grammy Museum's "An Evening With" program, featuring a live interview before an audience along with a performance. The Grammy Museum will open in Los Angeles on Saturday. "An Evening With Brian Wilson" is set for January 15th. The announcement comes as the Recording Academy prepares to unveil the nominees for the 2009 Grammy Awards. Hopefuls will be revealed Wednesday night with the hour-long TV special "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live: Countdown To Music's Biggest Night," airing at 9:00 p.m. Eastern on CBS.
Wilson could end up being one of the nominees. His latest studio effort, the critically-acclaimed "That Lucky Old Sun," was released in September. The rock legend earned his first Grammy Award just a few years ago. He got the nod for Best Rock Instrumental Performance with "Mrs. O'Leary's Cow," from the CD "Smile," at the 2005 ceremony. |
