Jessica Simpson Performs National Anthem At Tiger Tourney Golf Event
Pop-turned-country singer Jessica Simpson returned to the microphone on Wednesday to help open the Tiger Tourney. Usmagazine.com reports the 29-year-old songstress performed the National Anthem to kick off the golf tournament spearheaded by golf champ Tiger Woods. The tournament, taking place in Washington DC, runs through the July 4th weekend. Simpson's Dallas Cowboy boyfriend Tony Romo participated in the Wednesday event.
Simpson's performance follows months of bad press revolving around her singing career. Earlier this year, it was reported that Simpson had left the Sony Nashville country music label. The singer made the move from pop to country music last year, releasing her debut country album "Do You Know" last September. |
