Dashboard Confessional Double Up For Their New "Ending"
Dashboard Confessional fans are getting a double dose with the new release "Alter The Ending." The group decided to record both full band and acoustic versions of all the songs for a double-disc effort. Singer Chris Carrabba tells AlternativeAddiction.com, quote, "When we started practicing one of the new songs prior to recording, we happened to pick up our acoustics, and that was only because they were easier to get to. We were all sitting around a coffee table playing, and we really liked how it sounded, so we decided to set up some mics and record it." After the initial track, the ritual continued with each song until a full second acoustic disc was complete.
Carrabba adds, quote, "I think it's really good that it wasn't planned in this instance. Of course we have made acoustic records before, but this one had its own character and its own charm because it was simple. We just kind of played it." Dashboard Confessional's "Alter The Ending" is out now. |
