My Chemical Romance Splits With Drummer
My Chemical Romance is making the difficult decision to move forward without drummer Bob Bryar. Guitarist Frank Iero says on his blog, quote, "As of four weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways. This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect you all to do the same." Bryar moved up from drum tech to become their full-time drummer in mid-2004 following the departure of founding member Matt Pelissier.
But My Chemical Romance intends to weather the lineup change. Iero also notes that the band has been writing some powerful new tracks and that they've entered the studio again. He adds, quote, "What has been ending up on tape each night is some of the most exciting and honest work we have ever created." My Chemical Romance is working on the follow up to their 2006 album "The Black Parade," the only album from the group to feature Bryar. |
