Band Perry Ending Big Year With "New Year's Rockin' Eve"
The Band Perry is looking forward to participating in "New Year's Rockin' Eve." The trio's Neil Perry tells CountryWeekly.com he thinks Dick Clark's annual special "will be probably the biggest celebration" the group has done all year. And The Band Perry has taken part in a number of big events in 2011. Just considering the holiday season, The Band Perry performed for President Obama and his family on TNT's "Christmas In Washington," and they were featured on ABC Family's "25 Days of Christmas." Kimberly Perry admits it's been "a great year," and the holidays themselves have had "a lot to compete with." The Band Perry will perform from Los Angeles on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2012" airing on ABC Saturday night. The special multi-part broadcast starts at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. The Band Perry has also received a lot of recognition in 2011. The group captured honors at the ACM, CMT, and CMA Awards this year, and earned a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
