Wade Hayes Optimistic Following Cancer Surgery
Wade Hayes says he's "getting a little better every day" as he continues recovering from colon cancer surgery. The singer tells TasteOfCountry.com he's remaining positive as he faces his battle with the disease. He adds that he's "very thankful for all the prayers and support" he's received from his fans, and ask that they "please keep it coming!" Hayes announced earlier this month that he had been diagnosed with colon cancer, which had spread to his liver. He had surgery at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville on December 8th, and was released from the medical facility nine days later. Wade's treatment is also expected to include six months of chemotherapy. The 42-year-old Oklahoma-born singer is perhaps best known for the '90s hits "Old Enough to Know Better," "On A Good Night," and "I'm Still Dancing With You." Fans have been sending messages of support to Wade through his Facebook page. www.facebook.com/officialwadehayes.
